General Web Site

You are not required to provide information directly to the 860 Lake Shore Drive Trust in order to view the 860|880 Lake Shore Drive web site (the Site).  However, when you visit and interact with the Site, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • Your network’s or internet service provider’s domain name;
  • Your browser type and operating system;
  • The web pages you were visiting immediately before and after you came to the Site;
  • Links that you click on within the Site;
  • Your bandwidth speed and information about software programs that are installed on your computer; and
  • Standard server log information, such as the date, time, and length of time visiting the Site

We may aggregate and analyze this data in order to learn more about how the Site is used so that we may make changes to the Site to improve the Site’s usability and performance.  This information does not identify you personally.

Owners Resources Section

By registering for the Owner Resources section of the Site, you consent to 860 Lake Shore Drive Trust’s collection and use of personally identifiable information.  Personally identifiable information is information that can be used to identify you as a unique individual, and includes your name; home, business, email or other address; and telephone number, and the username and password you use to log onto the Owner resources section of the Site.

If you register for the Owner Resources section of the Site, your personal identity will be known to the 860 Lake Shore Drive Trust.  We will not publish, disseminate, share, or otherwise divulge this information without your consent unless required to do so by law.  Note that electronically posting an announcement or entry in the “Announcements and Notices” or “Local Recommendations from Residents” or any other section of the Site constitutes consent to the publication of your username and any other personally identifiable information you divulge within the body of that posting.

A note on cookies and web browsing data:

A cookie is a small data file that a web server sends to your web browser (your computer’s hard drive) so it can be later read by the web server. The Site uses cookies to help identify you so that you are able to use Owners Resources section of the Site because this section is restricted to authorized users. Cookies can also be used to track web site or Owners Resources use, length and nature of use, number of members, traffic patterns and other business purposes. The 860 Lake Shore Drive Trust may do this in an anonymous fashion (in a manner that does not attempt to personally identify the user); however, once you have registered to use the Owners Resources section, you are no longer anonymous to the Site when you logon to that section.
